Welcome to Nifty Services Ltd ("Nifty", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of Nifty's websites, apps, and services that connect individuals and businesses seeking home/trade services ("Customers") with independent service providers ("Pros") (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
About Nifty
Nifty operates a platform that enables Customers to discover, request, and manage services from Pros. Except where we expressly state otherwise, Nifty is not a provider of the services performed by Pros; Pros operate independently and are not employees or agents of Nifty.
Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
- Pros must meet any trade, licensing, insurance, and verification requirements applicable to their work.
Roles and Profiles
- Users may be Customers, Pros, or both (dual-role).
- Pros agree to keep profile information accurate (trade, qualifications, service areas/postcodes, pricing/quotes, availability).
- Nifty may display verification badges where certain checks are completed; a badge is not a guarantee of skill or legal compliance.
Bookings, Quotes & Jobs
- Customers may create requests by selecting a service category and answering questions, including photos, notes, and preferred times/location.
- Pros may respond with availability, messages, and quotes. A booking is formed when a Customer accepts a quote, confirms a fixed price, or when a Pro begins work following the Customer's authorization as permitted on the platform.
- Customers must ensure accurate job details and safe access to the job location.
Payments, Fees & Taxes
Payments are processed by our third-party processor (Stripe). Nifty may charge platform/service fees visible at checkout or in the quote.
Cards & Payouts
We do not store full card data. Pros may be required to complete payout onboarding with the payment processor.
Cancellations/No-Shows
Display and honour our current cancellation and no-show policies. Cancellation windows and fees are shown at booking.
Taxes
Pros are solely responsible for any applicable taxes related to their services. Nifty may issue tax documents where legally required.
Pro Obligations
- Perform services with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with applicable laws, codes, and manufacturer guidance.
- Maintain current licenses/certifications/insurance appropriate to the trade and jurisdiction.
- Comply with health and safety requirements at job sites.
- Do not misrepresent qualifications or accept jobs beyond your competence or authorizations.
Customer Obligations
- Provide accurate information, lawful job requests, and safe working conditions.
- Obtain necessary permissions/consents (e.g., landlord/owner permissions, building access).
- Pay all applicable charges when due.
Reviews & Ratings
Users may leave reviews after a job. Reviews must be fair, accurate, and lawful. Nifty may moderate reviews that violate these Terms or applicable law but is not obligated to do so.
Messaging & Communications
Messaging is provided solely to arrange and complete jobs. No harassment, spam, off-platform solicitation that circumvents fees, or exchange of illegal content.
Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in:
- Fraud, abuse, harassment, discrimination
- Reverse engineering or scraping
- Interfering with the platform
- Posting others' personal data without consent
- Attempting to book services prohibited by law or by Nifty
Verification & Safety
Nifty may conduct or facilitate checks (e.g., identity, right-to-work, insurance, certifications, background where lawful). Completion of checks does not replace a Customer's own diligence. We may limit, suspend, or remove accounts based on safety or policy concerns.
Intellectual Property; User Content
Nifty and its licensors retain all rights in the platform, trademarks, and content.
User Content License
You grant Nifty a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display content you upload (e.g., photos, reviews) solely to provide and promote the Services. You represent you have all rights to your content.
Third-Party Services
The Services may contain links or integrate with third parties (payments, identity verification, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party terms or policies.
Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. We use personal data to operate, secure, and improve the platform, including verification and payments.
Warranty Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Nifty does not warrant the quality, suitability, or outcome of work performed by Pros.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nifty will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; and our aggregate liability related to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the amounts you paid to Nifty in the 12 months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations—your rights may vary.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Nifty and its affiliates harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for any breach or risk to safety, fraud, or misuse. You may stop using the Services at any time. Certain provisions survive termination (e.g., IP, payments due, liability limits, indemnity).
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of London, UK shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms. When material changes occur, we'll update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you (e.g., email or in-app). Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
